This month all Mothers are reflective of their own Mothers and their
Children. My Mom passed away in 2005, and I think of her on Mother’s day,
but mostly I have learned to count my blessings. This is a picture of my
daughter Jazz who is 18 now, and I a few years ago. My son Joel is 21 now so
my kids are grown. I am so lucky to be able to say how close I am to my
kids. In my house there is me, my husband George, Joel, Jazz and her
girlfriend Michelle. So there is diversity in my house hold. But I always
wondered what it would be like to have a third child and that is the way I
feel about Michelle. This is one Mother that, indeed, knows how to count her
blessings. Kansas City Gay Pride is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year! Pride this year is on Sat. May 31st and June 1st and is being held at Penn Valley Park.
